“On” का हिन्दी में अर्थ (On Meaning in Hindi) या मतलब होता है : पर (Par).

जैसा कि हम जानते हैं, ‘On’ एक अंग्रेजी शब्द (English Word) है और सामान्य तौर पर वाक्यों (Sentences) में ‘on’ का प्रयोग Preposition और Adverb दोनों ही रुप में होता है।

इतना ही नहीं सबसे खास बात तो यह है, कि इसका प्रयोग हम अपने दैनिक जीवन (Daily life) में भी करते है। तो आइए जानते है ‘On’ के अन्य हिंदी अर्थो (Other Hindi Meaning of ‘On’) को Preposition और Adverb दोनों ही रूपों में-

Uses of “On” in Sentence as Preposition

  • ‘On’ का प्रयोग लक्ष्य (Goal/Target) बताने हेतु होता है। (‘On’ Is used to indicate the goal or target.)

Note: Direction बताने हेतु ‘At’ तथा ‘on’ के प्रयोग में अंतर नही होता है।

  • किसी भी चीज की स्थिर अवस्था (Static Position) तथा सतह स्पर्श (Surface Contact) बताने हेतु ‘on’ प्रयोग होता है। (‘On’ is used to indicate the static position and surface contact of anything.)

  1. He is carrying mangoes on his head.

  • ‘किसी रेखा पर’/ ‘किसी स्थान पर’ का बोध कराने के लिए भी ‘on’ का प्रयोग होता है। (‘On’ is also used to make sense of ‘on a line’or ‘in some place’.)

  4. There is a cap on his head. (उसके सिर पर टोपी है। Uske sir per topi hai.)
  5. He came on Monday. (वह सोमवार को आया था। Wah somvaar ko aaya tha.)
  6. I will start on the 2nd June. (मैं 2nd जून को शुरू करूंगा। Main 2nd June ko shuru karunga.)
  7. Players are practising on the field. (खिलाड़ी मैदान में अभ्यास कर रहा है। Khiladi maidan mein abhyas kar raha hai.)
